Why would we do this? Sure, those old fan bearings
don't live forever, but...

Modern 3-row cores have many more fins. To aid
in our high-pressure cooling system modification, note the missing filler
neck at top right. The 900 turbo cooling fan fits so well on the V4 (and
99) radiators as the height of the SAAB radiator (1969-on) did not change!
Thus the top and bottom braces are ideal for mounting the very high-quality
and CFM fan. To finish off the modern system, the thermoswitch housing from
the 900's top hose is given a new switch to turn on the fan at a given temperature,
so it's automatic.
Does this look like what you'd want on a hot
summer day? We didn't think so! Especially if you've gotten some more horsepower
out of your V4.
