Two engineering goals were sought and attained with the Celedinas
rocker arm assemblies:
Reduction of friction and binding between the rocker arm and shaft.
Dramatic reduction in shaft flex for more consistent valve lift
at ALL rev ranges.
The needle bearings installed in the rocker arms provide significant
friction reduction. The combination of a steel mounting platform, precision
alloy mount stands and alloy shaft end supports cut shaft bending to a tiny
fraction of that experienced with the stock rocker arm arrangement. Thus...
This is a superb final touch for extracting
all the horsepower available from your SAAB V4 engine!
The POWER PLUS CLASSIC
Drawing by Jack Ashcraft
V4 rocker arms are arc ground and polished on
the valve contact surface, precision line bored to receive the double row
needle bearings. New ball adjustment bolt with allen wrench adjustment and
locking nuts are installed. One new oil pressure relief hole is drilled
in every arm.
Eliminating the stock rocker arm with a milled
alloy arm and roller-bearing tip, the NEW style of POWER PLUS rocker arms
endeavours to follow the principles of the earlier design - reducing friction
in all areas. By reducing friction between parts, a more accurate and consistent
valve lift is obtained. A runner leads to the oil pressure relief hole,
and the same quality roller bearings are utilised in this design of rocker
arm.
The price has gone up $100 from $350, not due to George
hoarding his millions, but due to the fact that he was losing money on making
these.
